Privacy

We try to keep this short, because the app does not do much.

No accounts, no tracking pixels, no analytics, no advertising. The only people who see your story are the ones in the room when the host runs the reveal.

What we collect

Just enough to run the game.

  • Sessions. The title you choose, optional meeting and close dates, and (if provided) a recovery email.
  • Pins. The name you type, the story you write, and the latitude/longitude you click on.
  • Nothing else. No IP logs, no device fingerprints, no usage analytics.
Where it lives

One database, on your terms.

Everything is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL with PostGIS for geometry). No third-party services see your stories. The map tiles are served by Mapbox, which receives the coordinates of the area you’re viewing in order to draw the map — but Mapbox never sees your pin content, your name, or your story.
Who can see it

The host, the room, and you.

  • Participantssee only their own pin’s details until the live game.
  • The hostcan see all stories from the moment they’re submitted, but names are hidden behind “Anonymous” until the host runs reveal.
  • The roomsees a name when the host clicks reveal — that’s the whole point of the game.
On your device

A few small flags in your browser.

Your browser remembers four tiny things, all on your device:
  • That you’ve submitted a pin to a given session.
  • Your pin’s identifier, so we can pull it back up.
  • A short edit token, so you (and only you, on this device) can update your pin until submissions close.
  • Whether you prefer the light or dark theme.

None of these contain your name, story, or anything personal. Clearing your browser data simply means you’ll lose the ability to edit your existing pin and your theme preference will reset.

Recovery email

Used only if you ask.

If you provided a recovery email when creating a session, we’ll use it exactly once: when you ask us to send you a fresh host code. We don’t market to you and we don’t share the address.
Retention

Sessions stay until they’re removed.

We don’t auto-delete sessions today. If you’d like a session and its pins removed, contact the host of that session — or the operator of this instance.
Third parties

Two, and that’s it.

  • Mapbox — serves the map tiles and globe. They may log standard tile-request metadata. See their privacy policy.
  • Supabase — hosts the database. Sessions and pins live there.

This is a community-built tool. If you spot a privacy issue, please reach out to the host of your session or the operator of this instance so it can be fixed.
